Lake Malawi Cichlids

lake_malawi.gif
Lake Malawi – nestled between Mozambique, Malawi and Tanzania – is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world, and is home to more fish species than any other lake in the world. While these cichlids often require a little more care, their bright colours and active movements make them well worth the effort.

The cichlid population in Lake Malawi is divided into many groups from the mbuna in the rocky areas to the Haplochromis (Haps) found in all other environments. A great number of Lake Malawi cichlids are available at Malaga Aquariums – all of them sought-after aquarium fish – so come and find the right one for you!
