Gouramis
 |
As well as using their gills, these beautiful fish can gulp air through their mouths, allowing them to survive in poorly-oxygenated water. They usually prefer warm environments, and are best kept segregated from other species - gouramis such as the Siamese Fighting Fish can be very aggressive. When breeding, many gouramis will create elaborate bubble nests.
